Physician Involvement: Future, Current and Retired
As an initiative of the Twin Cities Medical Society, Honoring Choices Minnesota encourages physician involvement in its work. Whether you are a medical student, a practicing physician, or have retired, we have a place for you to learn more about Advance Care Planning and help us educate health care professionals as well as the general public about this important topic.

All future physicians need a solid understanding of Advance Care Planning - regardless of the specialty they select. Honoring Choices already works with Medical Students at the University of Minnesota in a variety of ways; and we are eager to do more. If you have an idea, a suggestion, or questions, please contact us. You can join our efforts, develop your own project, attend a training, or simply connect with us to learn more.

We have learned it is critical that physicians lead their healthcare systems in the adoption of strong Advance Care Planning programs. If you'd like to be an onsite Champion, or you're interested in learning more about adding ACP into your personal practice, please let us know.
We are also always looking for physicians to help inform other physicians about the importance of quality ACP. Let us know if you can help.

"Now that I'm retired, I get to choose what I focus on!"
This is a commonly-heard sentiment of our retired physician volunteers. Our retirees speak to public groups, share their experiences and stories, and work with medical students just beginning their careers. We hope to increase our physician-to-physician programs in the near future, and need help in the planning. Let us know what you'd like to do!
